CEF and the Archdiocese Announce Plan to Double Tuition Assistance for 2015 – 2016 School Year

“New efforts to make Catholic elementary schools more accessible and affordable were announced on Thursday by Louisville Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz and the president of the Catholic Education Foundation. These efforts are expected to double the amount of tuition assistance available for families in need to more than $3 million annually.”

2014 CEF Teacher Awards for High School Teachers

Congratulations to the 2014 recipients of the CEF Teacher Awards for high school teachers sponsored by the Dan Ulmer Family!!! The awards were handed out November 6 at the Teacher Recognition Celebration. On hand to recognize these outstanding teachers were Archbishop Kurtz, Foundation President Richard Lechleiter, Foundation Chair Dave Calzi, Dan Ulmer and Gary Ulmer.

Congratulations to the winners of the Catholic Education Foundation’s Annual Poster Contest and Essay Contest!

Congratulations!!! The winners of the Catholic Education Foundation Annual Poster Contest and Annual Essay Contest were recently announced at the Catholic Schools Week Mass at St. Edward Church. Both contests were sponsored by the CEF Annual Fund. The poster contest asked students in Catholic elementary schools to make a poster that reflected the theme for Catholic Schools Week-”Catholic Schools-Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” There were 3 divisions: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. The essay contest asked students in Catholic high schools to write an essay telling how Catholic schools are “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”

Congratulations to the Teacher Awards Winners!

Congratulations to the winners of the Catholic Education Foundation Teacher Awards! The awards are sponsored by CEF and funded by the Dan Ulmer family. Archbishop Kurtz, Brad Rives and Dan Ulmer handed out the awards to the elementary school winners during the Gathering for Catholic Elementary School Educators event on Friday, August 9th, at St. Peter the Apostle Church.
