Miromar Lakes Golf Club is stepping up protocols to deliver the most hygienic golfing scenario possible in today’s uncertain climate. Below are some changes:

Food and Beverage

• Effective Wednesday March 18 we will offer Take Out Food Service only.  All dining room service and special events are suspended until further notice.  This includes sale of alcoholic beverages in the dining room.  A “Take Out” menu will be posted on the Golf Club app or sent to you upon request in a separate email. Beverage Cart service will continue at this time.

Club House

• The Golf Shop and Locker Room remain open at this time.
• The handicap Posting Station has been removed temporarily.  Please post scores on your phone’s GHIN app or ask staff for assistance.
• The on-course restrooms are being cleaned and fully sanitized twice a day.

Golf Course

• We will make every effort to keep the golf course open as long as it is safe to do so.
• There will be no Shotgun starts effective immediately.
• Effective immediately there will be no rakes in the bunkers.  We will adopt a Local Rule allowing a player in a sand bunker to lift, clean and place the ball inside the bunker, no nearer the hole without penalty.  Please enter and exit bunkers at the lowest point and not climb up or down the face.
• Ideally players would not handle the flagstick at any time, leaving it in while holing out. 
• Golfers are requested to remove used tissues, fruit peels/rinds, and soiled products from the cart before returning it to the cart return area.
• Additional sanitization equipment has been installed in the cart wash area at both facilities.  Steering wheels, dash, cup-holders, and seats will be sanitized after each use.  
• Golfers are advised to bring a hand sanitizer to use throughout the round.

Individual Carts and Tee Times

• Beginning Thursday March 19 we will make every effort to accommodate the requests for individual carts.  To do this we will play in threesomes, with tee times beginning at 7:40. Pace of Play will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.  If you have not returned to the cart staging area in that allotted time, you will be asked to come off the course as carts must be disinfected and available for use for other members. 
• Members wishing to play in foursomes may play after 11 am and request to ride alone.
• Obviously this is not an ideal situation given the size of our cart fleet and we may need to make adjustments.
• If you have made tee times for Thursday or beyond, check with the Golf Shop as some adjustments to the tee sheet will be required.
• Golfers who do not feel 100% healthy are still asked to stay home despite the opportunity to ride alone in carts.

Guests

• No Guests will be allowed until further notice.  Family guests staying with you are exempt from this rule.
