Mrs. Sarah Gilbert
Mrs. Sarah Gilbert is in her first year teaching at Saint Leonard. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2014 with a BS in Middle Grades’ Education Science and Mathematics. She continued her education at Ashford University, graduating in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. While at Northern Kentucky University, she ran Cross Country and Track for three years. She completed her student teaching in Cincinnati, Ohio with the Colerain and Oak Hills School Districts. In addition to teaching science to 3 – 8 grades, she is also the Environmental Club Coordinator!
Prior to moving to Kentucky, Mrs. Gilbert taught three years of Mathematics and Science at Murray Middle School in Wilmington, North Carolina. Currently she coaches middle school softball at Newburg Middle School with Jefferson County Public Schools. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Taylor High School in Cleves, Ohio. She enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening and taking photos. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family; daughter, husband and two dogs.
