Valentine's Day
February 12, 2020
Dear Incarnation Families,
The following was announced on Incarnation Live this morning. Because of the huge outpouring of donations to FOOD FOR ALL, we decided to reward the students.
Typically, on Valentines Day students are permitted to wear Valentine themed tops with uniform bottoms. For tomorrow, students may be casual on the bottom with Valentine themed tops.
For the big reward, everyone gets a pajama/cozy day on Friday,
February 28. This is not a Mass day as students will attend mass on Ash Wednesday (Feb 26).
Thank you for supporting this cause and encouraging your students to a record breaking collection!

Important Information About Conferences...
November 06, 2018
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – November 7th and November 8th
Incarnation School will have 1:20 p.m. early dismissal on Wednesday (busses will leave at 1:20), November 7th and Thursday, November 8th to accommodate Parent/Teacher Conferences. After-School Care and Enrichment (ACE) will be open for its registered families until 5:30pm.
Conferences will be held after children leave from 1:45 to 7:30.
Lunch times will be the same; however, the primary grades will leave for homeroom immediately following their lunch time to prepare for dismissal (sorry – no recess).
Conference Information and Tips:

* Teachers will present information on the following topics: academic achievement, peer social interactions, and classroom behaviors.
* Many conferences will discuss goals for student improvement. Ask how to support these goals from home to optimize success for your child.
* Ask questions! Ask for clarification during the conference or come with a list of questions to be discussed during your child’s conference.
* Stay focused! Conferences are 20-minutes and there is quite a bit of information to be presented and discussed.
* Be positive! Conferences are a time to share the wonderful accomplishments of the first few months of school and to look for areas of improvement. Children are wonderful and are constantly growing and evolving.
* Create a working partnership with your child’s teacher! The old saying goes, “it takes a village. . .” At Incarnation School, teachers and parents work together to create the best possible experience for students. This happens through good communication and support of one-another.

Desk Update for Grades 1st-4th
August 11, 2018
Hello Incarnation Parents,Through the wonderful generosity of Incarnation School’s PTO and Crusader Club, new student desks and chairs have been ordered for all sixteen classrooms in grades one, two, three, and four! Thank you, PTO and Crusader Club!Unfortunately, the shipment of our beautiful new desks and chairs has been delayed. The original ship date was August 1st and the manufacturer has now changed the date several times. We made plans based upon the original ship date, and the old desks and chairs were removed from the building through volunteer manpower and donated services. As a result, the first through fourth grade classrooms do not have student desks and chairs and will not have them for open house. Please plan to bring your child’s school supplies as usual. All teachers will have paper sacks for you to label with your child’s name and use for storing supplies. This system will allow students to keep their supplies safe and organized until they can be placed in desks.I am very hopeful that the desks and chairs will be delivered in time for the first day of school. Incarnation’s wonderful and creative teachers have plans in place should the delivery not happen by Thursday morning. I will keep you updated as we learn more.Thank you in advance for your patience and good humor with this situation. I know this is a less than ideal beginning to the year, however, I think the new desks and chairs will certainly be worth the wait!Blessings -Leah CoghlanPrincipalIncarnation School

Incarnation Catholic School New Facebook Page
February 13, 2018
February 9, 2018
Dear Incarnation Families,
The Incarnation School Community will soon have a Facebook page that will display our everyday happenings so that families will have a glimpse of classrooms and hallways as those in our school community walk in the footsteps of Jesus each day. Educational updates, messages, pictures, and videos will be presented for your viewing pleasure. Highlighted will be: 1) mission-focused charity and volunteer work, 2) stories about our children's good deeds and work, 3) testimonials from current families and past graduates, and 4) major parish/school/athletic events. We look forward to presenting short videos of what's happening at Incarnation as often as possible!
Communication is important for our families, and we strive to provide peace of mind about children's faith-filled, safe school day. However, daily communications about dress-down-days, parent/teacher conferences, policy issues, surveys, and other daily internal communications will continue to be pushed via our Development Department and I-News and will NOT be on the Facebook page. You can immediately access our Facebook page by searching Incarnation Catholic School.
While we have multiple means of communication, please remember that checking Plus Portals or simply picking up the phone and calling the office to speak with the principal, assistant principal, teachers, or staff is the best contact if you want a direct and official response. We welcome your insights, and we are always willing to help you find the best avenue for resources when you have questions.
God bless you for having confidence in our faculty and staff. We have a wonderful facility, but the community of believers is the pillar of our success.
Yours in Christ,
Cheryl C. Reichel, Principal
Respect for those who do not want their child's pictures on Facebook (or the internet in general) will be carefully monitored, and only those with Administrative access will be permitted to post pictures on Incarnation's Facebook page.

Incarnation Childrens Choir
August 23, 2017
Incarnation’s Children’s Choir
Incarnation’s Children’s Choir is comprised of students from all elementary schools in grades 3 – 8. Rehearsals are every Thursday in the choir room, located in the church, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. We sing at a Saturday evening 5:30 pm Mass or Sunday morning Mass, usually 9:00 am or 10:30 am Mass, about once every three weeks.
No musical background or experience is needed, just the willingness and enthusiasm to want to sing and have fun, and attend as many rehearsals as possible. We also sing secular music at various other venues in the community especially at Christmas time. We perform a half hour show of sacred and secular music, some with choreography, such as one of our favorites: Rollerskatin’ Reindeer.
All students interested in joining should come to our first rehearsal on Thursday, August 31st at 4:30 pm. Please use the door on the back side of the church and bring your child into the choir room to fill out and sign an information sheet. If you can’t come this Thursday, please just come next week.
If attending weekly rehearsals might be a problem, please see me so as not to let your child miss out on a great choral experience.
Each week I need one parent who is VIRTUS trained to sit with us during rehearsal.
The Children’s Choir has a lot of fun learning to sing, learning to read music through games, singing at Masses, and performing in the community. We have a large choir room that we want to fill with the sound of children’s voices so please encourage your child to at least give us a try. Once the students experience the fun of singing together, they want to keep coming each week.
For any questions or concerns please contact Kevin Samblanet, Director of Music at
Kevin.Samblanet@incarnation-parish.com or call the parish offices at 433-1188 ext. 214.

The season runs from January to early April. Games are held only once a week, on either Saturday or Sunday, in the school’s multi-purpose room. Practice is conducted during the 30 minutes immediately prior to each game. Games are 45 minutes each, so the commitment is only 1 hour, 15 minutes per week.
The registration fee is $22 per child, and includes a jersey.
To sign up your child, please go online at incarnationcyo.org.
We must have your completed and paid registration no later than November 30th. The number of teams is determined by the registrations received and the number of players per team is limited to permit sufficient playing time. Registrations received later than November 30th will only be accommodated on a space-available basis. A late fee of $10 will apply.
Online registration link may be found on the School web site under athletics/registration forms. Please consider coaching a team – this program can’t function without volunteers. No coaching experience is necessary and I will provide practice drills and help for those needing assistance. Mothers are encourage to coach and older siblings (7th grade or older) can assist.
All coaches must complete the child protection decree class(virtus training) and receive a background check before the season begins. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Details for scheduled classes and background checks can be found here www.incarnation-school.com under athletics/Registration Forms. Open the form titled “Virtus Training and Background Check information”.
Team rosters and schedules will be finalized in mid-December to permit shirts to be ordered. Your head coach will be contacting you in late December and play begins the weekend of January 7, 2017.
If you have any questions about this program, please contact Tom Doorley at 474-4431

Cafeteria and Playground Volunteers needed. Sign up Included
July 26, 2016
Can you volunteer 5 hours in a year to keep our children safe?
That's correct! The minimum expectation for each family is only five hours for the entire year to assure the safety of our children. With over 500 families, we can easily have 3-5 volunteers each day -- on the playground, in the cafeteria, and more. Read below to learn about our easier method for signing up and for the incentives to volunteer!
This year we are moving to a new system to help us better manage our wonderful volunteers as we keep our children safe. We have set up a system called Sign Up Genius where each volunteer will sign up for the day(s) they can work. If each family takes a minimum of 5 hours throughout the year at a time that is convenient for you, our volunteer goals will be covered.
Specifications: For the cafeteria and recess help, the minimum number of Virtus Trained volunteers needed for each day is two, and four volunteers would be better. Please remember that siblings are NOT allowed to come while you are volunteering (a little too distracting). What will you be asked to do? Volunteers keep a watchful eye on students (especially during recess and lunch) to ensure safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and good behavior. It's a terrific opportunity to observe the interaction between and among the children! Will you consider giving us a helping hand?
Incentives: Not that anyone needs more than a request to step forward, but we do have a couple of incentives for homerooms that are "just for fun!" Each of the following is for a single homerooms:
1. At least one parent in each family is Virtus trained. A grandparent may also be Virtus trained, but may only be counted for one of their grandchildren's homerooms (apologies to the loving grandparents!) = Additional recess time for the homeroom.
2. 25% of the representatives from each family achieves the 5 hour minimum requirement for volunteering = Additional recess time for the homeroom.
2. 50% of the representatives from each family achieves the 5 hour minimum requirement for volunteering = Out of uniform day for the homeroom AND additional recess time for the homeroom.
3. 75% of the representatives from each family achieves the 5 hour minimum requirement for volunteering = Out of uniform day for the homeroom, additional recess time for the homeroom, AND Slushies for each child.
4. 100% of the representatives from each family achieves the 5 hour minimum requirement for volunteering = Out of uniform day for the homeroom, additional recess time for the homeroom, and a pizza lunch for all!
